Surfing & Watersports on Achill Island

One of the best ways to see and experience the full beauty of Achill Island is by exploring on bicycle. Achill has three signposted looped cycle trails as part of the Achill Cycle Hub. It is also located at the scenic end of the Great Western Greenway, an award-winning 42m long walking and cycle track that follows the route of the former Achill to Westport railway line. Bike hire for the Greenway and for use on Achill is available locally from several vendors, many of whom offer a drop-off and pick-up service.
